Reverse Engineering Regulatory Networks

This page contains material to accompany a tutorial presented at ISMB2007, in Vienna, Austria. The topic of the tutorial is reverse engineering transcriptional regulatory networks, with a focus on understanding regulatory relationships through analysis of genomic sequence data, in combination with gene expression data and transcription factor binding data.

The tutorial is divided into two parts. The first part is in lecture format, and gives a technical overview of the basic computational methods for understanding transcriptional regulatory networks. The second part is in the format of worked examples, including one example of analyzing promoters of genes in a gene module, and examples of analyzing data from a ChIP-chip experiment. The tutorial handout (a manuscript) and the slides can be downloaded through links below. The example data used is also available for download.
